Incoming Sampling & Assay

Every truck, railcar, and barge that arrives at our stockyard is sampled according to ISO 3082 and ASTM E1019 protocols using mechanical cross-belt samplers or manual increment collection. The composite sample is split, pulverized, and analyzed in our ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory for target elements, moisture, and deleterious impurities. Results are logged against the supplier declaration, and any lot that falls outside the agreed tolerance band is quarantined or rejected before it enters saleable inventory.

Stockyard Segregation & Blending

Our stockyards operate a strict first-in-first-out inventory system with physical segregation by mine origin, grade band, and product type. When a customer order requires a specific grade or impurity ceiling, our metallurgists design a blend recipe using multiple stockpiles, then verify the blended composite through a fresh assay before loading. Blending records are retained for a minimum of five years and are available to customers on request as part of the shipment documentation package.

Pre-Shipment Inspection & Documentation

Prior to every wholesale shipment, an independent surveyor conducts a pre-shipment inspection covering weight determination, moisture correction, visual condition, and packaging integrity. The final certificate of analysis, certificate of origin, packing list, commercial invoice, and material safety data sheet are compiled into a single documentation package that accompanies the shipment. Quality Workflow

The Four-Gate Shipment Quality Process

Every wholesale ore and mineral material shipment must pass four sequential quality gates. A failure at any gate halts the shipment until the root cause is identified and corrected — there are no overrides and no exceptions.

Gate One: Incoming Verification

Material arriving from the mine is sampled and assayed on intake. The results are compared against the supplier's declared grade and our purchase specification. Lots that pass are assigned a stockpile location and a unique lot number; lots that fail are quarantined pending a second assay and, if confirmed, returned to the supplier at their cost.

Gate Two: Blend & Stockpile Release

When a customer order is received, our metallurgists select stockpiles and design a blend that meets the target grade and impurity ceilings. The blended material is re-sampled and assayed; only after the composite results fall within the customer's specification is the stockpile released for loading. Blend recipes and assay results are archived against the order number.

Gate Three: Loading Port Certification

At the loading port, an independent surveyor supervises the loading operation, determines the gross and tare weights, and collects a final composite sample for moisture and grade analysis. The loading port certificate of analysis is issued within 72 hours of loading completion and becomes the contractual quality reference for the shipment.

Gate Four: Destination Confirmation

After discharge, the buyer conducts a destination re-assay and submits the results within the contractual claim window. Our quality team reconciles the destination results against the loading port certificate. Discrepancies within the agreed analytical tolerance are closed as normal variation; discrepancies outside tolerance trigger the claim resolution process with a mutually accredited referee laboratory.

The loading port certificate of analysis is the contractual quality reference, and the destination re-assay is the buyer's verification right. If the two differ by more than the agreed analytical tolerance, the dispute is resolved through a referee analysis at a mutually accredited laboratory — and the cost of that analysis falls on the party whose result is proven incorrect.
